Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history of nausea on waking up and during the day, loose stools, tiredness and loss of weight going on for last 2-3 months, try to eat to maintain or put-on the weight but not possible, have an appointment with a Gastroenterologist in a few weeks time.
As per the history you have provided, all the symptoms that you have noted going on for such a long time are indicative of gastrointestinal problems and the possibilities are:
Chronic inflammatory disease of the intestines like tuberculosis, Crohn's or non-specific inflammatory diseases for which a detailed clinical evaluation, examination and investigations are required as follows:
Tests of stool for three consecutive days.
Tests of blood for CBC, thyroid, liver and kidney functions.
Contrast enhanced CT scan of the abdomen.
Colonoscopy.
If all the tests are normal, you will be treated a case of IBS that is irritable bowel syndrome.
If a specific cause is found, get it treated accordingly which may need a course of an antibiotic and other supportive medicines.
