What Is The Cause Of Pain In Lower Abdomen?

i fell 4 days ago and landed on my left elbow and wrist, now I am having pains in my right side near where my ovaries would be (I had a hysterectomy a year ago). I did twist my back when I fell and it hurts on my right side. Could this pain be from the fall.

Hi,

Yes, there is possibility that the pain may be due the fall as you have twisted your back during the fall.

If the pain is severe, better to get evaluated. Please consult Orthopedician once, get examined and go for X-ray pelvis and ultrasound pelvis.

With this work-up the possible cause of your problem can be identified. As you have undergone hysterectomy one year back, now you may not have pain due to that.

If your ovaries are left during hysterectomy, you may need to check the present status of the ovaries.

If any abnormality detected in ultrasound related to pelvic organs like ovarian cysts, hematoma, etc. you can consult your Gynecologist and can follow her advice.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
