Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Polycystic ovarian syndrome( PCOS) is associated with irregular or no ovulation at all and hence irregular and delayed periods. Your periods may be delayed because of the hormonal changes in PCOS or due to pregnancy.
Your doctor is right in suggesting you to repeat a urine pregnancy test after 10 days as sometimes the ovulation and hence the conception is delayed.
Treatment of infertility in PCOS includes ovulation induction with drugs, intrauterine insemination and in vitro fertilization if the previous two fail.
Hope you found the answer helpful. Please do get back for further queries.
Wishing you good health.
Regards,
