What Is The Cure For Dermagraphia?

Hi. My child has dermagraphia. It seems to be getting worse. I hve read numerous online articles. Is there anything I can do to help myself and her deal with it better? i give her zyrtec and advise her to calm down. It seems to appear later in the afternoon and get worse by evening.

Hi,

According to your history it seems that your daughter is suffering from rare form of urticaria called Dermatographic urticaria. Till now there no effective cure of it. You have to keep her away from triggering factors like warm water bath. Notice about the triggers and avoid them. Zyrtec must be continued but it may cause sedation. So you can use loratidine instead. You can ask your doctor about desensitization, if it works.
