What Is The Cure For Painful Bump On Thigh?

Hi,
I have had pilonidal sinus below my tail bone 2 years ago. Recently Im having a very painful bump on my thigh in the region where the thighs rub each other. I think it may contain pus and I really don't want to have another surgery especially there.

Hi there.

Firstly I would like you to get the swelling aspirated if it contains liquid.
Send the aspirate material for pus culture and sensitivity examination along with Gram staining.

Start antibiotics according to the culture report.
Chances are that after complete aspiration and good antibiotic administration the swelling will resolve.

If it does not resolve with these measures then surgical drainage will be the only option left.

It the bump is hard then get a FNAC done.

I hope my advice has helped.

Good luck.
