Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I fell a few weeks ago and thought I injured my back only. For the past week I have had severe groin pain in the left side. I was unable to walk all day. Well actually I walked but with great pain and difficulty. I got up from my chair at work and I was able to walk. Still with pain but not with difficulty. Then as I got up to leave I could not walk again. I felt a quiver and spasm as I was sitting. Almost like a tired muscle from lifting. Could something be out of socket? And going in then out again?
Hi, thank you for asking Healthcare Magic. With this presentation, I think the problem might be resulting from a sprain. With hip dislocation, there would be shortening, severe pain and you cannot walk. It is important to do an X-ray to rule out any fracture. But in the meantime, I would suggest you take some anti inflammatory pain relievers.
I hope that answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. We will be delighted to answer more questions from you. I wish you good health
