Hi sakeena,
Allergy to foods generally doesn't cause weight gain. It can cause various reactions in your body from rashes to indigestion. You didn't say what allergic reaction you developed to what foods. You can definitely loose weight by following a healthy lifestyle which include exercise and taking limited healthy food.
Don't go for drastic weight loss by diets as it can regain your weight when you resume to normal diet/lifestyle. Avoid fatty foods, and too much carbohydrate diet in a day. Make a calorie count for what ever you take.
Hope this helps.
Thank you.
