Hello,

Epilim is Sodium Valproate. Epilim Chrono CR is a combination of Sodium Valproate and Valproic acid. The advantage of CR preparation is that you have a more sustained blood level of the active ingredient without the fluctuations that can occur with the shorter acting Epilim. In a Bipolar illness the mood fluctuates between elation and depression. This medicine reduces these fluctuations and try to maintain your mood in a steadier (euthymic) state.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
