General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Tendinitis is an inflammation of long tendons of muscle. Bursitis is a more or less similar picture but it is the inflammation of bursa (fluid-filled cushions) in the joint cavity.

Long term use of pain killers is not recommended. You can try opioid drugs like tramadol which is considered safe even in kidney patients.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
