What Is The Difference Between Lovenox And Arixtra?

i am taking arixtra along with my coumadin for an eye surgery i had monday.when i used lovenox(which i am allergic to) my pt-inr was real high.i had a pt-inr done today and it was real low.how does arixtra work and what is the difference between lovenox and arixtra.

Hi,

Both are anti coagulant and used for hematomas prevention and treatment. Both are low molecular weight heparin, but contents are different. So you might be allergic to one not to other. And for every anticoagulant patient response is different to different dosage. So it should be only maintained by in measurement. It should be kept at least below 2.0.
