What Is The Dosage Of Duromine?

Hi Ive been taking duromine 30 on and off for three years. I am have now put on 15 kg but I can t stop using them or my body weight goes up fast. I m so desperate to loose this weight as its caused me to have anxiety and cut myself of from people. Do you think I should move up to the 40mg and let it last 2 months so I can loose and slowly wean myself of them after I loose the weight?

Sorry to hear about your weight problems. The dosing for duromine (generic name Phentermine) is a starting dose of 15mg per day all the way up to 37.5mg per day. The maximum dose allowed is 37.5mg per day according to current guidelines. This medication is an amphetamine and can cause serious problems to your heart and other organs if you exceed the daily recommended dosage. It would also be very very difficult to wean yourself from the maximum dosage. It is not a good idea to take 40mg per day. You need to work on an overall health plan that involves healthy eating and exercise, Duromine is just a bandaid on your overall problem. Please speak with your doctor about the dangers of Duromine as a drug and come up with a healthy plan for the future.
