What Is The Dosage Of Xifaxin For Small Intestinal Bacteria Outgrowth?
I have SIBO and wonder how often and at what strength can I take Xifaxin? I find that I usually need it every 3 or 4 months. I take 550mg twice daily for two weeks. Am I taking it too often? I also take probiotics but still wonder if I should take any while I am on the medicine.

Xifaxin(Rifamixin 550 MG) is often given for SIBO. Regarding the dosing i generally ask my patients to take it twice daily for 14 days..
but while taking it you shld also be aware that sometime it may cause flatulence to you but dont need to worry abt it
