can you take too much tart cherry extract. I bought Spring Valley brand at Wal Mart. 1 cap contains 1200 mg tart cherry extract (Prunus cerasus) (fruit) ( from300 mg of tart cherry. 4:1 Extract ). directions are take one to two capsules a day. We were going to take 2 caps 2 times a day. s that too much ???

The tart cherry extract has scientifically proven many health benefits. For chronic conditions, it is recommended to keep the manufacturer's recommended dose.

The dose may be increased in acute condition (gout attack) for a short period of time but should be decreased again to the manufacturer recommended dose in the maintenance phase.
