Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Is The Indication For Escitalopram 10 Mg And Clonazepam 0.5 Mg Combination
what is the indication for escitalopram 10 mg and clonazepam 0.5 mg combination (Nexito - Sun Pharma). Is it used for depression with anxiety or is it used for GAD, SAD and other panic disorders as well. Please do reply.
Escitalopram is used in lot of disorders including Depression, All anxiety disorders (as you have allready named) and in something called as mixed depression and anxiety disorder.
Clonazepam is a benzodiazapine type sedative-hypnotic-anxiolytic (calming pill-sleeping pill-anxiety reducing pill)
If used in combination, I feel the indication must be an anxiety disorder.
I wonder why this simple question is not put to the prescribing doctor. I understand that doctors in some countries, including my own country, do not talk much to patient but unless patients and carers start asking their own doctors questions, the doctors, particular older generation, are not going to change.
I would encourage you to start engaging with the doctor more, if you have one already.
Hope this helps
