What Is The Life Expectancy When Valves Are Leaking And Experiencing Shortness Of Breath?
My dad is 77 years old and has CHR and has two valves leaking. In October we found out unable to operate as his heart is to weak. He has been admitted in the hospital for shortness of breath and now his arms and legs are swollen. Has no appettite and is getting weaker. What is his life expectancy??

He is suffering from heart failure because of his valves.It usually means a bad prognosis ,especially when operative treatment is not possible.It can take life within weeks to few months depending upon severity of valve leakage.Sometime medicine alone can take care of the problem if the severity is not much.
