What Is The Need For Two Surgeries For A Total Knee Replacement?

hello my name is Ross, I am 51 year old male, and I m to have TKR surgery next week, they told me that now I may have to take up to two different surgeries, because I have two screws put in when I had ACL surgery back in 1993. I m not really understanding why they need to have 2 separate surgeries now?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

We have to wait few weeks after screw removal and only after we can go for knee replacement. So two surgeries are required but screw removal is a simple procedure compared to TKR.

Hope I have answered your query.
