What Is The Normal Range Of Thyroid Level?

hi doctor, my wife is pregnant , 6 th week now . Before conception we checked the thyroid level ,it was 5.7 and doctor told take 50 mcy eltroxin tablet daily . Today we checked again thyroid level is 10.2 , doctor advised to take 75 mcg eltroxin tablet. Please advise what is the normal range of thyroid level during pregnancy and how can reduce to the medum level

Normal reference TSH range during pregnancy varies depending on the trimester.
In 1st trimester--0.3-4.5mIU/l
In 2nd trimester-- 0.5-4.6mIU/l
in 3rd trimester--0.8-5.2mIU/l
In my opinion,for pregnant women with preexisting hypothyroidism,an increase in dose(20-30%) of hormone replacement with TSH monitoring every 4 weeks is usually needed which i believe the treating physician has already done to attain the normal euthyroid state.
