Hello,
You have not mentioned his symptoms. The symptoms of
renal dysfunction are decreased urine output,
shortness of breath, fluid retention, causing swelling in legs, ankles or feet, weakness,
fatigue, etc. Renal dysfunction can be improved with diet control and healthy lifestyle. He is suggested to take home made nutritious balanced diet and plenty of boiled cooled water. He should take
folate (broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, etc.), egg whites, blueberries, red grapes, buck wheat, garlic, etc. He should take well cooked food good for the kidneys.
He should do regular exercises and maintain healthy weight, quit
smoking, quit alcohol intake. He should maintain normal blood
glucose level, reduce salt intake to maintain blood pressure on the lower side. He should take diet that helps to maintain blood sugar levels. Protein consumption should be low, he can take little vegetarian protein and lean meat. He should avoid taking NSAIDs, a type of painkiller and stay away from medicines that may have side effects affecting kidney function. He is suggested to get kidney function tests, CBC,
Urinalysis & imaging tests done to assess the degree of renal dysfunction. He will be treated accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
