What Is The Proper Diet For High Cholesterol Person?
My husband got his blood tests checked 2 days back. His cholesterol was found to be high. The doctor told him it is slightly increased. He need to restrict his diet and also involve in some exercise

I have tired a lot, even after a good diet control also my cholestrol is not reduced. acultally my cholestrol levels are normal only its cholestrol portion called triglycerides which are on higher side. do i am on gemfibrozil tablets. lets hope it reduces by this atleast.

Since your husband's cholesterol levels are elevated, the diet should be low in fat and high in fiber since it helps to absorb the fat and elimates out of the body.Includemore of raw vegetables , at least two serving everyday. Taking fruits as whole rather than juices will help to increase the fiber in the diet. Use more garlic and onions in the preparation of which will help to reduce the levels. Avoid taking junk, oily fried foods, saturated fats like ghee, butter, mayo sauce, red meats, organ meats, crabs, prawns, lobsters,carbonated beverages, highly saturated sweets and alcohol.Use high fiber foods like whole wheat, multi grain flour / breads, broken wheat, rice flakes,at least weekly twice green leafy vegetables, daily two serving of raw vegetables and fruits,aviod sugars - since they are converted into fat in the body and drink plenty of fluids.Many research studies have proved taking cinnamon powder along with water in empty stomach reduces the cholesterol levels in the blood. Along with the above dietary modifications, daily physical activity of at least 30-40 minutes is necessary.

My brothers cholesterol is high in last six months he has been taking medicine .But three month ago it was decried but now it is back previous level could you please give me a Bangladeshi food diet chart.

Yes he has to restrict diet and exercise to get it back to control, if it is too high then he needs to take medicines also.

replace groundnut oil by sunflower oil..which contains PUFA .which is good....for heart...and also dont have junk foods and ghee sweets avoid ghee as much as possible..
