What Is The Purpose Of This Medication?

Hi My son is 4years old . he is suffering from cough and stuffy nose.Tight and stuffy mucus . He has cough from past 5days also has fever. His doctar has prescribed for Levolin Syrup in India. I would like to know what is purpose of it, as i started it today ? Apart from it i am giving him steam and nasal spray.

Your child has URTI.it is self limiting.For bacterial infection antibiotic is needed. All coughs in children have an element of bronchi constriction .Levolin is a bronchodialator helping in receiving bronchoconstriction and thereby receiving cough
