What Is The Reason For Abnormal Urination Pattern?

Lately, I get up to pee in the middle of the night or early morning (I am 53 yr. 6 166lbs) and I alternate while sitting down to pee from a full flow to hardly at all and back to a full flow. My prostate was checked last summer and was fine. This weird peeing problem started about a month ago.

Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have Prostatitis .
Though your report for prostate check up done in last summer was normal the possibility of getting infection now can not be ruled out

Please consult consult qualified Urologst for clinical and digital rectal examination done to confirm the diagnosis.
and get following basic tests done .
1) Routine urine test and urine culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of the abdomen
3) Serum PSA.

In the mean while take broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefexine along with urinary antiseptic like Nitrofurantoin twice daily and urine alkaliser thrice daily.Later on switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report.

Further treatment will depend upon the results of these tests and final diagnosis.
