What Is The Reason For Blood In Stools After Colitis Attack?
I had a major Colitis Attack at 2:am this morning. uncontrollable diarrhea with fresh blood mixed in. Was going to the bathroom every 20 min and it just got worse. Around 4 am, it was all blood. It has been just blood since then, About every30 min, or if I walk around. Also my blood is a bright reddish pink color. Since I moved into my new apartment, unless I clean the bowel every day, in 2 days the ring is back. Could I have picked up some of the bacteria.
Hello, Thanks for choosing health care magic for posting your query. I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through. The blood loss that you are talking about is fresh blood and also the quantity seems to be large. Colitis can cause such a bleed but the other likely cause is piles. That will need proper examination of the rectum. Also plan to get a complete blood count done as with such heavy blood loss you can develop anemia. Hope I am able to answer your concerns. If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you again.
Wish you good health, Kind regards Dr. Pooja Reddy M.D.
