What Is The Reason For Gas And Mucus Discharge From Rectum?

Hi. I sometimes get this urge to clear my bowel but when I actually go to do this, it ends up being some gas clearing followed by some mucus discharge from the rectum. What could be the reasons for this? I am unsure how to interpret mucus from the anus but think its got to do with gases?

Hi...if you are otherwise having normal regular biwel motions then no need to worry...it could be due to your food habbits then...eat more of fruits and green vegetables and things rich in fibers...
