What Is The Reason For Having Pain While Laying Down Of Left Side At 12th Week Of Pregnancy?
I'm about 12 to 14 weeks pregnant have a horrible pain on my left side if I sit or lay down doesn't hurt only when I'm moving around I have a history of miscarriages my children are 14,15,19 I'm 38 I don't have an appt till 2 more weeks any advice on what could be causing this pain?
Hi, Thanks for the query. After completion of first trimester, that is 12 weeks of gestation, uterus will become abdominal organ. During the process of enlargement of uterus, the supportive ligaments of the uterus will become stretched. This can lead to pain sometimes. If you have undergone D&C during miscarriage, there is possibility of internal adhesions sometimes. That can also lead to pain. Better to use external analgesicointments. If the pain persists, take oral analgesics with your doctor's advice. In case of severe pain, physiotherapist consultation is advised. Take care.
