What Is The Reason For Inability To Urinate On Own After TURP Surgery?

my husband underwent surgery (TURP) approx 2 wks ago & a supra pubic catheter was placed. He has attempted several voiding trials, however still unable to urinate on his own. What could be causing this? He s 67 5 9 approx 145 lbs. I m sorry, I didnt realize there would be a fee...I would not be able to pay this as I am on a very limited income. Thank you for your time
