What Is The Reason For Pain, Numbness And Swelling In The Left Side Towards The Back?

Pain, numbness and sometimes swelling on my left side (more towards my back). Feels like my ribs but sometimes it swells and feels like a softball under my ribs. This is more of internal swelling but is slightly visible. It also gets more numb when it swells. Lying down makes it worse and walking for long periods of time. I am a 35 year old male and it has been going on for almost 3 months. It is very difficult to sleep.

I will advise to consult surgeon for clinical examination and if required proper investigation.
