What Is The Reason For Unusually Light Menstrual Flow And Cramps?
This is my second month with an unusual menstrual flow. Last month my period came 5 days early and I bleed very light for about 3 days. My cramps was unbearable. This month my period was 3 days light but my flow is even lighter than last month. My cramps aren't even noticeable. Usually my period are extremely heavy. I would typically use a pad and tampon. Do you have any idea what the issue could be?
There are different possible causes for changes in the menstrual cycle such as : (1) emotional stress (2)physical stress or illness (3)side effect of medication- if you are using any hormonal contraceptive, it can cause reduced bleeding and reduced menstrual cramps (4)thyroid disease (5)extreme physical activity (6)abnormal levels of prolactin hormone
If you continue to experience periods that are concerning to you, you should consider visiting your doctor for an assessment. This would include physical examination, blood tests and possibly imaging.
I hope this helps
