What Is The Recommended Diet For Weight Gain In Toddler?
Hello Dr, My 18 month old daughter is having cough and cold every now and then ,her weight is 6.75 kg , also her ESR count is 23 mm/ h . any recomended diet to gain weight and reduce the count of ESR. (birth wt: 2.6 kg). If any pls suggest,, waiting for reply.
Thanks for writing to health care magic. I can understand your concern.
Your daughter's weight is not in the normal range. A baby should increase in weight three fold by the age of one year. If that is not so and abnormally low (below 3rd percentile) that baby should be examined for the cause of the same. There are several causes for lack of weight gain and can involve any of the systems of the body. You should consult your doctor at the earliest for a complete physical examination. Your doctor may order certain investigations based on the physical examination findings. Further management depends on the diagnosis made. So consult your doctor for a examination to identify the cause.
