What Is The Recovery Time For A Spine Surgery?

Hello sir, I recently done spine surgery at the bottom of spine by. July month 15th at l4 and s5 for back pain and having numbness in left leg fingers. Leg pain . And now feeling better from pain. But can I be normal man by what time period for my recovery. As per my doctor he says no bending, no Indian toilets,no sitting in floor, ride bike with good shock absorber, no sex for six months to one year I am 33 govt servent .please advice sir

First of all, it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.

Based on the history you have shared, you need to follow the precautions as told by your neurosurgeon or spine surgeon as it was major surgery and chances of recurrence or incomplete recovery may exist if compliance to precautions isn't followed.

Ride bike and strenuous works may be avoided even for a year. Follow up visit and detailed neurological examination may be needed.
