What Is The Recovery Time For Pancreatitis?

I was admitted to a hospital on Feb 21st with pancreatitis and was on morphine for 3 days. On the fourth day I had my gall bladder out. On the 27th I had ERCP, and on March 1st a close brother of mine died. How soon can I expect to be feeling better?

Hello,

You have nicely put the history chronologically, and as per the history you can be well within a few weeks since gall bladder is out, ERCP helps for proper drainage, and you must now be on a soft diet and supportive and symptomatic medications. Rest is very important in such a situation for early recovery although early ambulation highly recommends. If you take the medications properly and follow the instructions well, then you are likely to be recovering very soon.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regard,
Dr. T Chandrakant
