What Is The Remedy For Chills And Cough With Enlarged Tonsils?

I have a 28 month old son who has very enlarged tonsils (kissing tonsils) and just woke up from a nap with a temp of 96.8, chills, and a raspy cough. It is -35 degrees here with wind chill, but he was in his room all bundled up and sweating. He feels like he has a fever which was why i took his temp.

Hello and welcome to HCM forum.

Your son is showing signs of mild hypothermia and has also possibly caught a throat infection causing the rasping cough .

In homoeopathy you should give Aconite 200 4 pills every half an hour ,and if he starts to feel better within thin 1-2 hours than you can reduce the frequency to 1 hourly .

The other alternate steps that would help is to cover the child well and give hot soups or warm saline gargles .

In case (and mostly after few hours of lack of any treatment ) the body temperature might start rising and then you might need to give the child an antipyretic like Meftal -P or Paracetamol Syrup ,besides the above measures .
