What Is The Remedy For Dandruff And Pimples?

I am hypothyroidic ,, and is under trwatment for last six years,,, now for past one year I am suffering from dandruff and white patch on my forehead,,,, lot of pimples on my face, I have consulted adermatologist and ix using rexizole b on my forehead can I use the same on my scalp also.

Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

Rexizole-b is a combination of topical antifungal + topical steroid. In general steroids should not be used for acne because while they are not effective for acne, and infact may cause more acne.

If I was your treating doctor I would have asked you to use a 2% ketoconazole shampoo twice or thrice weekly for dandruff.

For acne you could begin with either clindamycin gel or benzoyl peroxide gel twice daily.

An oral antibiotic e.g doxycycline or azithromycin, might also be required for 4-12 weeks, for inflammatory acne, depending on the severity of acne.

I would advice that you see a dermatologist for a proper assessment of your acne and appropriate treatment.
