What Is The Remedy For Fever When On Calpol?

My son is suffering from Fever from Wednesday noon. He is 4.5yrs old and weighs 15kg. It was sudden without any illness. So, I administered Calpol250mg (5ml) every 6hrs. Despite the fever was persisting continuously. The fever was high (~103 degree) of Thursday and Friday and hence I started administering Calpol and Meftal-P every 6hrs. But, the fever never came down in those 2 days and I had to visit a peaditrician on Friday evening. Later on Friday my son started coughing severly and had vomit sensation. Hence, evening when I approached a peaditrician, she told me to administer Meftal-P (6ml) for next 3 days and also given exil-D for cough. Today is Sunday and he still has the problem of vomit sensation and vomitted 5 times since Friday morning. When he sleeps too, he has the vomit sensation and feels uneasy and looks like things will come out. He is not eating properly too. Please provide suggestion as what could be the problem and what next to proceed.
