What Is The Remedy For Prolonged Cough Even After 4 Months Of Medication?

I started with a bad cold in the end of September-it lasted for a couple of weeks and finally went to the doctor's, my primary was on vacation, and the covering said my lungs were fine and was probably getting over bronchitis-should clear up in a week. two weeks later, I was still coughing and went back to doctor's was told I was having bronchial spasms left over from the bronchitis they thought I had. went back 1 month later still coughing. doctor did and xray and said it was clear. put me on prednisone for a week and said that should do it. 1 1/2 weeks after prednisone was done, still coughing. hello. cough for so long is worrisome and i strongly recommend you meet your chest physician again for more thorough examination. meanwhile you can try steam inhalation and avoid spicy food. thanks
