What Is The Remedy For The Swelling Of My Upper Lip?

Today I experienced a swelling of my upper lip on my left side which seems to be spreading across the whole upper lip. A cold sore never appeared. I have not eaten any thing unusual, There is no pain. Is there any remedy ?
I am a 74 year old male and have had cold sores before but nothing like this.

thanks for your question,
i went through your question, i feel it could be a cystic lesion means collection of fluid within a sac, it might be due to traum like lip bitting, it appears like a blister, bluish in color...it doesnt require any treatment unless it affects your function or pains...it wil rupture by its own....
or if the swelling is involving entire lip it might be due to some allergy to food or insect bite or drugs...then you have to consult a physician..usually these kind of swelling will be diffuse, involves entire lip, it will be stretched and shiny....it has to be treated with antiallergic drugs like cetriziine...
