What Is The Remedy For Vaginal And Anal Strep With No Help From Penicillin And Being On Remicade For Crohns Disease?

I was treated for an infection called strep (not the strep throat) due to boils in my vagina and anal are. I was on Penicillin and another kind of antibiotics however the boils have not gone away yet. What else can I do? Also I am on remicade for crohns disease and I am not sexually active (for the past 5 years).

Hi,Welcome to Health care magic forum.
It appears that the strep infection you had might be resistant to many antibiotics. Or it may be a mixed infection.
I advise you to consult a dermatologist for diagnosis, and treatment.
You may need to have culture and sensitivity of the discharge from the infection site, and get treatment accordingly.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms erythromycin, ornidazole, and grisofulvin.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
