What Is The Severe Back Pain Along With Fever And Chills?

My boyfriend has back pain that he says it is not anything like he has injured himself. He has had it for about 2 months. He is 48, weighs 270 and is 6'1. and has had a severe sleep disorder for most of his life. He said that the pain has settled in his left shoulder blade. He has had a blood test, an ekg etc and the doctor found nothing. He has no fever, chills and doesn't seem to have a virus. He has been working out for 5 or 6 months but has no injury. If he takes different pain medicine it will ease the pain a little but he has had sever pain where he could almost cry. Could this be some kind of infection? Could you please give us some guidance.

Hi,
From history it seems that there might be having some degenerative changes in his shoulder muscles and cervical spines giving pain and stiffness of scapular muscles.
There might be having osteoprosis giving this problem as well.
Go for x-ray scapular region and cervical spines.
Physiotherapy and short way diathermy will be much helpful.
give Calcium, vitamin A and D supplements.
Ok and take care.
I find this answer helpful
