OB & GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

If it was a pus collection then it has to taken out. As you have told it is inflammatory (painful and red). Just clean with warm water. Do not allow any sweat to stay. Just keep dry. Take some painkillers for two days. It will definitely resolve. If not consult a physician near by for direct examination of the lesion and thereby getting treated accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
