What Is The Suggested Time Of Recovery After A Hip Surgery?

My husband recently had hip surgery with a plate and screws inserted (not a total hip replacement) his legs are very, very weak even with Phy Ther and Occup Ther, he also has bronchitis which has made him tired, will his legs eventually get stronger where he feels like walking again?
