What Is The Suggested Treatment For Lower Quadrant Pain?
a middle aged woman ... complaining of pain lower quadrants predominantly suprapubic..... she had no fever and dysurea... urine showed plenty epi cells and 1-2 pus cells....USG showed fluid in POD only....pain was severe and onset was 3 days back....not reliving with NSAIDs.....can she be treated as UTI only?
Hello dear I understand your concern Pain in lower quadrant and fluid in POD could be due to pelvic inflammatory disease, peritonitis, rupture of ovarian cyst, gastroenteritis. Absence of dysurea, and pus cell suggests rule out the possibility of UTI. I would suggest to consult the gynecologist and undergo clinical examination and blood tests like (ESR), the C-reactive protein (CRP) level, and chlamydial and gonococcal DNA probe to rule out the cause. Broad spectrum antibiotic like ceftriaxone in intravenous or tablet form depend on severity will help Tablet ibuprofen plus serritopeptidase Hope this may help you
