What Is The Time Required To Abstain From Sex While On TB Treatment?

i am undergoing TB treatment for more than a month now. I have Lung TB. My last sputum test registered a negative result hence i was discharged from the hospital s isolation ward. Now i regularly go to the health center everyday to take my medicines. I was told that it will take 6 months to 1 year of treatment. Does that mean that my husband and i should avoid sex that long? Can i infect him if we kiss?

TB is not a Sexually transmitted infection. So having sex with a person with TB will not be transmit the infection. But as he has lung TB, while coughing bacterias might get transmitted to your lungs by breath.
As his sputum tests are negative, no need ti worry about that as well.
