What Is The Treatment For Acidity?

Good Afternoon ! Dr. I am suffering from acidity since 7-8 years ,I am controlling by food but still some times I got severe headach due acidity . Doctor advised me to take Ganaton 50mg + Deanxit 20 mg with socral syrup., I am taking these whenever I feel acidity & headace. Can I continue this course ? & is there any side effects for this ?

The chronic acidity issue needs to be evaluated with upper GI endoscopy and ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis to decide curative plan or its management.

Above mentioned drugs can be taken for initial recovery, but long-term use is not advisable on OTC basis.
