My son is passing littel amount of blood and pus in stools since 2 days, 20 days back doctor gave him RUBIRED syrup for iron deficiency, after giving that syrup his stools was black and green in colour, now since 2 days he is having blood and pus in motion. Please let me know the reason why this is happening.

Blood and pus in stool is called as bacillary dysentery.. Treatment is oral ( sometimes intravenous ) antibiotics and close monitoring of urine output
