I am bleeding (sometimes heavily) when i am passing stools But its not painful Sometimes bit of blood strains comes with stools. I drink alcohol regularly.is there any major problem What tests i had to take to check my body Iam 32year old male non-diabetic person
Hi. Thanks for your query. Male/32, drinks alcohol regularly, non-diabetic, bleeds heavily with stool but painless, wants to know the causes, and the steps to be taken. I would advise you the following: - Consult a General Surgeon as the painless bleeding is usually from the hemorrhoids also called as piles or from a polyp or so. Per-rectal and proctoscopy examination will give you the perfect diagnosis and colonoscopy if advised has to be done. It looks you may need surgery. The investigations you should get done to have body check up are Blood: CBC, liver function tests, kidney and thyroid function tests. ultrasonography of the abdomen. And other tests as may be guided by clinical evaluation.
