What Is The Treatment For Blood In Stool?

Recently my bowel movements have become difficult. Seems a little tougher to get out, and then afterwords if I don't wipe right away with wet toilet paper there is an intense stinging in my rectum. Sometimes afterwords it hurts a little even after wiping and i've seen bright red blood.

Hello,

Issue seems possible fissure giving intense stinging with blood. Salient guidelines for better outcome are:

- Diet measures to get soft, regular bowel movements preventing friction at anal opening. Can take help of laxative for immediate results.
- Drink more liquids and prefer high fiber intake.
- Sitz bath is major recovering agent here.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
