What Is The Treatment For Child With Vomiting, Diarrhea, And Foul Smelling Stools?

My child with age of 12 start vomiting and diarrhoea with foul smelling watering stool,last night . The symptoms stopped in the moringing and he could now take sips (around 40 ml water each time), However, his also started to have fever last night with the highest at 102.1. It could be controlled by giving him paradol in the morning, which could down to 99.8. In addition, his face have red spot after his vomiting last night. Did he sufferred from food allergy or GE

Your description sounds like GE. This can often be a frustrating illness in that it's hard to predict how long it will last. You've been doing everything right. Hydration is paramount, temperature control to provide comfort. The red spots are due to the forceful vomiting and will resolve on its own. The illness, to, will resolve. Keep the diet soft, and advance his diet as tolerated. Also, be careful that everyone in the house is washing hands so as to prevent spread of the illness.
