What Is The Treatment For Cold Sore On Upper Lip Which Is Filled With Pus?
I have an unknown blister or coldsore on my upper lip. It is about 1/8 of an inch and seems to be filled with pus. There is no crusting. I ve tried Abreva and another over the counter solutions. I even tried honey which was suggested on The Dr Oz Show I am out of state so contacting my primary care DR. is not areal option till I go home Thank You, Kate

For an infected cold sore, I would have asked you to take an oral antibiotic (penicillin group e.g Amoxycillin) for a week.
Topical OTC antibacterial like 2% mupirocin can be applied twice daily.
