What Is The Treatment For Cough And Cold In A Baby?

Hi Doctor, my baby boy 4 and half month old having cold cough and fever doctor prescribes combiflam suspension and swich drops(cefpodoxime oral suspension ip) now fever is normal but he is having cough very mouch please suggest any medicine for cough and cold for 4.5 month old. Thanks / jyoti 0000

Hello and welcome to health care magic.
Your baby is in the recover phase of a respiratory tract infection. So it's better to return to the pediatrician you are seeing and let him have a look at your baby's chest . He will prescribe cough syrups like Syp. Ascoril which can be given twice a day depending on the weight of your baby. But remember, it's always better to get medicines from doctor who has examined the patient, rather than buying it over the counter from a medical shop.
