What Is The Treatment For Cramping Pain And Pain While Urinating?

Hi. I am currently trying to get pregnant. It is early before my period but in the last two days I have been experiencing things that are unusual. I have had cramoing pains front and back and now have a burning pain when urinating and the constant need to go to the toilet. Yesterday my breast really hurt. I am certain I have cystitus but my worry is what if Im pregnant and take medicines that I shouldn t have? Hope that makes sense

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* The symptoms are more likely of urinary tract infection with lesser possibility of early pregnancy symptoms.

And even if you are pregnant, there are best treatment available for pregnancy category A drugs not harming mother or fetus.

* My guidelines at present

- drink more liquids
- genital hygiene care
- avoid intercourse till recovery
- cranberry sachet once daily in a glass of drinking water (can be taken even if you are pregnant)
- consult your OBGY for further care.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
