What Is The Treatment For Epilepsy?

hi there, I am 23 years old, weighing 7 n half stone, I had a operation on the labia and cut a cyst out from down there, July 2010' I believe I have nerve damage..since then I have had tingling pains allover my doctor believes I have fibromyagia and from feb this year ive had a few seizures.had MRI scans and for some reason have scar tissue on the brain..now there saying I have epilepsy.I would just like to know if getting put to sleep when i had the operation could damage the brain and can nerve damage cause seizures. I was fine before I had recorrtive surgery. Now have all these problems. I have to have a next operation has the labia has been left dangling down,All from a bad birth when they let me tear and did not stitch it back up.I am now scared has I believe all these problems is not epilepsy or fibromyagia and is caused from live nerves on labia that's pulling and causing a lot of pain..do you know if it's safe to be put to sleep again if I have problems with my brain? Many thanks Leanne.

Hello,

I passed carefully through your question and would explain that epilepsy seizures are not related to the anesthesia or the surgery that you have undergone.

Coming to this point, I don't think that future surgeries will impose any risk to you, especially if you are currently taking anti-epileptic drugs to help prevent further seizures.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka,
